2024 Year In Review

In 2024, we proudly helped individuals and families achieve housing stability, financial independence, and the dream of homeownership. Through engaging homebuyer education workshops and personalized guidance, we celebrated dozens of low and middle income families successfully transitioning into homeownership.

One highlight of the year was the transformative Community Choice Demonstration Program, which empowered families with Housing Choice Vouchers relocate to neighborhoods with better schools, safer environments, and greater job opportunities. This program breaks down barriers to housing choice, fostering long-term stability and creating more inclusive communities.

Another success was the Make Monroe HOME Program, where three families moved into fully rehabilitated homes, with two more homes currently underway. These life-changing moves were made possible with $10,000 in down payment assistance from Monroe County and partnership with Rochester Housing Development Fund Corporation, ensuring affordability and a opportunity to build generational wealth.

But our impact didn’t stop at homeownership. We provided over 300 individuals with one-on-one counseling, equipping them with essential tools for savings, budgeting, debt management, and credit repair. These efforts have laid the foundation for lasting financial stability.

Outreach was a major priority, and we partnered with local agencies to bring financial literacy resources directly to the community. Through more than 20 events held at places of worship, community centers, and other trusted spaces, we reached hundreds of individuals, meeting them where they are.

Our Foreclosure Prevention Counseling Program supported struggling homeowners, helping them navigate mortgage challenges and avoid foreclosure. This crucial work was made possible by the expertise of our HUD-certified counselors and the generous support of funders like ESL Federal Credit Union who provided funding to more than 20 households.

To all our supporters—real estate professionals, donors, community members, and colleagues—thank you for being part of this journey. Together, we are building stronger, more equitable communities where everyone has the opportunity to thrive.
